The
very first Winter Games were held in Chamonix, France, in 1924.
Athletes competed in most of the same sports as they do today: speed
skating, figure skating, skiing, ski jump, curling, bobsledding, and
hockey (plus, there was a military patrol competition, won by the
Swiss). But the look was different, as you can see from the business
