Night Funny

Inventive advertising isn't it. Authorities though are questioning if they got a permit to paint the fields outside the airport with their ad. I just had a hardy chuckle when I found this on the net.

Gabrielle

Tropical Storm Gabrielle 'slammed' into the coast of North Carolina today full of bark but no bite. Now if we can escape the rest of hurricane season with any more 'storms' let them be Gabrielle's as well ... no more Hugo's and Floyd's.

Cast Picnic

We had our annual cast picnic today for the returning cast and new cast to meet and greet for the upcoming RenFaire. It was good to see a lot of familiar faces again and it gave the Mrs., a chance to be out and about after her stay in the hospital.

While at this shindig I thought of what one of those internet trolls keeps trying to convince themselves and others of ... that I (along with select others -those who disagree with them), am an old and lonely and bored man and laughed hysterically at the thought ... which in that crowd nobody even raised an eyebrow when I laughed at "nothing" - ok, so a couple of the new cast members had confused looks on their faces until I explained what it was I was laughing about and even they where puzzled as to why the troll would think that ... I am one of the 'lives of the party' and they could tell right away.

With the production of the RenFaire and the Highland Games as well as several 'theater' productions each year, seeing my patients, helping at the butcher shop, working on the farm, writing my books and this and her sister Blog, participating in several internet forums and more, 'bored' isn't a word myself or others who know me would use to describe me, tired, maybe, but not bored!

So much for the cognitive skills of internet trolls!

Panthers Win

The Carolina Panthers opened the 2007 - 08 season with a win, drubbing the St. Louis Rams 27 to 13.

In a tipping pool I am involved in I am at 80% on my predictions for week one so far ... would be higher but the Packers just pissed a victory out of the horrid game they played that was a gift from the Eagles and the Titans winning - something I saw as possible but went with the Jaguars anyway and of course the 'ain'ts showed up for the second half Thursday night in place of the Saints and where hosed by the Colts would should not win any more this season.

It looks to stay at 80% too; not bad for opening week.
