The Sun Is Back

The sun is back today and the pool is already full of the kids splashing while the adults are still bleary eyed and more than a few are walking 'wounded' this morning if they are walking at all - that single malt whiskey tasting last night might have something to do with that ... some 'tasted' them all and then some. Being good Scots we could not have a Celidh (party) without a single malt tasting to go along with the music, dancing, storytelling (and there have been a few whoppers - but that isn't the type of storytelling I am referring to), and other such fun and games we can get ourselves into.

After feeding the animals with the help of my grandson, he and I broke out the horseshoes and a round-robin horseshoe tournament is shaping up. Hopefully some of the 'wounded' will recover from their 'wounds' in time to enjoy the clang of the horseshoes on the metal stakes!

This year's Labor Day weekend bash is a success, the police have only been by once and that was to check to see if they needed to bring ice with them when they got off duty and came to the party themselves (it's nice to be friends with the local police chief as well as the sheriff - who has been here since Friday, anyway - his wife makes the best BBQ beans).

You know I might just have to break out the Pipes and let the 'wounded' really feel their pain - Bag Pipes before lunch, yeah, that's the ticket!

There go Seamus and Angus tearing off toward the river ... must be that family of rabbits moving around down there and the dogs are going to play with them, of course I don't think the rabbits view it that way, but the dogs do ...
