Strong earthquake hits off Mexico's Pacific coast

A strong earthquake has hit off Mexico's Pacific coast.

The U.S. Geological Survey in Colorado says the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 and was centered off the coast of Jalisco state.

The quake happened Tuesday night at 7:33 p.m.

There are no reports of damages or injuries.
