Jersey stolen

Someone broke into a Lake Wylie barbecue restaurant and stole an autographed Carolina Panthers jersey and a laptop computer, according to a York County Sheriff's Office Report.

The break-in happened around 10 p.m. Friday when someone pried open a locked back door at Q-2-U BBQ on Charlotte Highway near Clover and stole the jersey, signed by Panthers star Steve Smith, which was hanging in a frame on the wall, the report stated. A laptop also was stolen, according to the report.

The thief also pried open the cash register, but it had been emptied earlier that night, the report states.

Damage to the back door and cash register was estimated at $1,500.

There are no suspects.
