One Of The World's Most Dangerous Volcanoes
East of Naples, Italy, looms the volcano Mount Vesuvius with an elevation of 4,203 feet. Vesuvius is best known for its eruption in 79 AD that led to the destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. It has erupted many times since and is today regarded as one of the most dangerous and infamous volcanoes in the world.
