Wong-headed Politics


Unproductive, unloved Congress slinks out of town
The most disliked, unproductive Congress in decades planned to leave Washington this week until after the November election, departing without agreements on virtually every big issue it deals with: taxes, defense, spending, farms, even post office policy.


Thirty years ago, the repugican national cabal violated the Voting Rights Act and ordered to cease its “ballot security” efforts. Now an organization called True the Vote wants to pick up where the rnc left off, by building a nationwide army to root out voter fraud—or, to put it accurately, to suppress voter turnout.
