Via the pro-Tibetan-sovereignty news website Phayul comes new
reports that Chinese authorities in central Tibet have detained some of
the senior-most monks at three major monasteries: Sera, Ganden, and
Drepung. 16 of them "were whisked away on the pretext of a meeting by
Chinese officials in the Lhasa region on January 14. The condition and
whereabouts of those disappeared remain unknown. More at phayul.com.
