The first anti-Hitler Hollywood film featured the Three Stooges.
You Natzy Spy! was an 18-minute
film released in 1940 by the Three Stooges that ridiculed Hitler and
Goering at a time when American public opinion was largely neutral
toward the Nazis and most people favored isolationism. The film also
came out nine months before Charlie Chaplin's much more famous
anti-Hitler film, The Great Dictator, and even caught the
attention of a disapproving Senate committee investigating anti-Nazi
propaganda.
