It would be easy to assume that each of these devastating storms
represent different types of extreme weather. In fact they are all
descriptions of the same meteorological phenomenon - a rotating mass of
air that centers around an area of low pressure, bringing high speed
winds, heavy rain and thunder storms.
So what's the difference?
