Man charged after he allegedly took an excavator and began tearing down building

A New Hampshire man is facing charges after police say he took his relative's excavator and began tearing down a building. It’s still unclear why this happened, but police said the suspect destroyed part of a business with construction equipment owned by his relative.
The building was heavily damaged, with the roof and walls on one side left a pile of rubble. According to police, 28-year-old Jordan Ingram was behind the destruction. Just before 4pm on Monday, officers were called to Franklin for a report of someone smashing into the building with an excavator.
“Upon arrival, there was no one on scene,” said Franklin police Sgt. Daniel Ball. Police said the building was being used to store heavy machinery, but the excavator is from a different company. Authorities put out an alert that they were looking for Ingram.

He was later located in New London. Ingram is being charged with felony reckless conduct and felony criminal mischief. Police are still investigating why Ingram allegedly damaged the building. Ingram is being held at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections.
