World's Smallest Snowman is Just 3 Microns Tall
Meet the world's smallest snowman, created by Western Nanofabrication Facility.
At only 3 microns tall, the snowman was fabricated from three
0.9-micron silica spheres stacked by using electron beam lithography.
The snowman's eyes and mouth were etched with a focused ion beam,
whereas the nose and arms were sculpted with platinum.
