Repugicans in the Florida legislature have proposed an amendment to the state constitution that would prohibit Floridians from enrolling in any federal health plan (presumably excluding Medicare, the Veterans Administration, etc.).
It's grandstanding, with no chance of actually becoming law, but as always when repugicans attempt such stunts, it's certainly something to see and ponder. They want to make sure that the four million Floridians who currently have no health insurance also have no hope of health insurance, because repugicans don't want anything coming between Americans and their doctors except ... repugicans.
