Road rage, loose change and ranch dressing?
An 18-year-old Boise woman threw spare change and ranch dressing at another driver, then rammed his car several times with her pickup, according to police.
Tales of the Weird
Can anyone shed a light on this mystery?
Cops and Robbers
Authorities arrested a woman for allegedly trying to kidnap her daughter's boyfriend and haul him away to Northern California.
Authorities said Bessie Lou Phillips was so mad her brother was sentenced to life in prison for scamming an elderly woman she followed the victim and rammed her car.
If it's Thursday, it's time to rob a bank. That was the schedule followed by a man who admitted robbing six New Jersey banks on consecutive Thursdays between late January and early March.

Cops Looking for Bra Bandits
The theft happened at the Victoria's Secret store in Parmatown mall last week.
Police said the couple are seen first on surveillance video walking around the store. The man in the video is carrying a bag that is noticeably fuller when he leaves the store.
Parma Police Spokesman Marty Compton said it appears that the couple was stuffing the bras into the bags. They got away with a total of 60 bras.
"Surprisingly it's the brazen comfort they had in walking in scarfing up the merchandise and just walking back out," Compton said.
Compton said this is the third theft report from the store in the last nine months, but this is the first theft caught on video.
"It could be a ring of individuals who are obtaining merchandise to sell on the internet through black market outlets things of that nature," Compton said.

How your undies track the recession
Guys, if you want to know where the economy is headed next, look in your underwear drawer.
If you're like most men, you've got more than a few skivvies in, well, less than perfect condition.
If you're put off buying replacements -- and your significant other hasn't done it for you -- then guess what? The recession probably ain't over yet.
In fact, right now men's underwear sales suggest that things have bottomed but not started to recover.
Sure, this sounds trivial. But no less an economist than former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan is a fan of men's underwear sales as an important economic indicator.
It's one of several unusual indicators economists turn to in hard times. We went looking through them in a quest for the much-discussed "green shoots" of an imminent recovery.

What Does the Bible Say About Abortion?
Five piece toolkit made by wild chimps
Chimps built a 5-piece toolkit to help them extract honey from underground bee colonies.
The tools consist of pounders, enlargers, collectors, perforators and swabbers. Chimps, suspended in acrobatic positions on branches, might first pull out a thick stick pounder to break open beehive entrances. They then reach for another stick, the enlarger, to perforate and widen different honeybee hive compartments. Next comes the collector, used to dip or scoop out honey.Different tools and methods are needed to obtain underground bee honey. The chimps wield a perforator to penetrate the ground, locate a honey chamber and dig into the soil. They then pull off strips of bark to "dip and spoon the honey out of the opened beehive."
Obtaining honey from an underground hive isn't easy. Aside from dealing with angry, stinging bees, the chimps must dig narrow sideways tunnels, maintain perfect aim and prevent soil from falling into, and ruining, their desired sweet reward.

Oh my, Media Matters catches Swill O'Really in another lie.
He cannot tell the truth and guess what ...
Here's what Media Matters has dug up:
* On the May 15 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly stated that Kathleen Sebelius, who was then the governor of Kansas and is now secretary of health and human services, "is the most pro-abortion governor in the United States. Based upon Dr. Tiller, the baby killer in her state, and all of that. All right? So there's no doubt."* On the May 11 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said Sebelius "is pro-abortion. She wants the babies done for. This is -- she supported Tiller the baby killer out there."
* On the April 27 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said that Sebelius "recently vetoed a bill that placed restrictions on late-term abortions in Kansas. The bill was introduced because of the notorious Tiller the baby killer case, where Dr. George Tiller destroys fetuses for just about any reason right up until the birth date for $5,000."
* On the April 3 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said, "Tiller got acquitted in Kansas, Tiller the baby killer."
* On the March 27 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly stated: "Now, we have bad news to report, that Tiller the baby killer out in Kansas -- acquitted. Acquitted today of murdering babies. I wasn't in the courtroom. I didn't sit on the jury. But there's got to be a special place in hell for this guy."

Tiananmen Square Massacre
The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, also known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the June 4th Incident, or colloquially, Six-four by the Chinese public, and as the Political Turmoil between Spring and Summer of 1989 by the government of China, were a series of demonstrations led by students, intellectuals and labor activists in China between April 15, 1989 and June 4, 1989.
In the days leading up to the twentieth anniversary of the massacre ...
The 70-year-old leader of the Tiananmen Mothers, Ding Zilin, whose son was killed in the 1989 massacre, has been put under surveillance and told not to accept visitors in the lead-up to the anniversary.
She is followed by police even when she leaves her home to buy food and daily necessities.
Ding's 15-year effort demanding the Chinese government give a full accounting of the massacre and find out who was responsible for ordering the military to fire on unarmed civilians has led to her nomination for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.
Other members of her grouping, like Huang Jinping, whose husband was shot and killed in the crackdown, are also facing similar police harassment.

Natural Swimming Ponds Ditch The Chemicals
Natural Swimming Ponds Are Catching On
Natural swimming ponds are already quite popular in Europe and are gaining interest in the US. Companies like Clear Water Revival (UK) and Total Habitat (US) can help you design your perfect dream pond, or revamp the pool you already have. The cost of new natural ponds versus conventional swimming pools is said to be comparable, but maintenance costs for a chemical-free pool will be much lower. (Just think of the increased health benefits as an added bonus.)Unusual Holidays and Celebrations

Just who is the terrorist here?
You don’t need me to fill you in on the details of the murder of George Tiller in Kansas. The terrorist who committed this crime is in jail ...
He’ll be charged with murder, but there’s no mention yet of any sort of terror charges. The FBI and others have been eager to use anti-terror provisions of the PATRIOT Act to go after ALF and ELF activists, some of whom have done nothing more than organize protests or post information to the web. Many of them have destroyed property, but no one has done any killing, or even wounded someone other than themselves.
Alternet quotes the National Abortion Federation for these statistics here:
“Not surprisingly, his killer is strongly suspected to be affiliated with the ‘pro-life’ movement. If that’s the case, it makes Tiller the 10th person in the United States to be murdered by anti-choice terrorists.”
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Since 1977, there have been at least 17 attempted murders, 383 death threats, 153 incidents of assault or battery and three kidnappings committed against abortion providers in North America. Tiller himself survived an assassination attempt in 1993.
Compare the anti-abortion movement’s record on violence with the environmental and animal rights movements, and see who you think should more properly be charged with terrorism.
Tienanmen Square Erased!
I have spent a lot of time over the past three years with Chinese university students. They know a lot about the world, and about American history, and about certain periods in their own country's past. Virtually everyone can recite chapter and verse of the Japanese cruelties in China from the 1930s onward, or the 100 Years of Humiliation, or the long background of Chinese engagement with Tibet. Through their own family's experiences, many have heard of the trauma of the Cultural Revolution years and the starvation and hardship of the Great Leap Forward. But you can't assume they will ever have heard of what happened in Tiananmen Square twenty years ago. For a minority of people in China, the upcoming date of June 4 has tremendous significance. For most young people, it's just another day.
Too bad for China - the rest of the world isn't as gullible nor have we forgotten or will we let it be forgotten!

Daily Horoscope
Your natural leadership skills are a curse and a blessing.
They're a blessing for others because, when things get out of control, they know they can turn to you for help.
The curse part comes in when you're out for recreation, looking forward to some fun, and then, suddenly, you're asked to take over.
Like today, for example.
Oh, well. Think of it as a compliment -- or resolve to find yourself another companion.
Ain't it the truth.
