Parent Calls the Cops on Teen Boys Showing Support for Female Classmate Going Braless

by Jihan Forbes
The braless warrior, Kaitlyn Juvik.
Another day, another teen girl violates a school dress code… or did she? Kaitlyn Juvik, a senior at Helena High School in Montana, says she was told by school administrators that she needed to put on a bra one day when she came to school without one.
“As long as nothing is showing and you are covered up, girls should not have to wear a bra,” she told MTN News.
According to the school principal Steve Thennis, someone at the school complained that Juvik’s outfit was making him or her uncomfortable, and Juvik was asked to cover up or put on a bra. Juvik posted an image of what she was wearing that day to Facebook — a loose-fitting black blouse that fell off one shoulder. Her body appears to be adequately covered. “You definitely can’t tell I’m not wearing a bra unless you’re looking VERY hard,” she wrote. Juvik also mentioned she wore stickers to make sure her nipples wouldn’t be as prominent in the shirt.
As a result of the controversy, students at Helena High School protested on Friday and also made a Facebook page, “No Bra, No Problem,” which says it is “against discrimination in schools,” and “focus[es] on the right for girls to go braless.”
“The fact that I was told it makes people uncomfortable offended me because it’s my body,” Juvik told MTN news. “It is my natural body and I’m not sure why that is uncomfortable to somebody.”
On Tuesday, the protests continued, with male students coming to school wearing bras over their shirts. A parent called the police saying that some of the boys were causing a “disruption” and making “inappropriate gestures.” KTVH News reports that students said it was only a few of the boys who were acting inappropriately and that a school resource officer spoke with the parent, explaining that the incident was not one that warranted police involvement.
Bottom line: Breasts are a natural part of the female form, and if someone is uncomfortable with that, perhaps a remedial turn in health class might be in order? Women and young girls’ bodies are constantly being sexualized in their natural form, and often, the burden of making sure their bodies are “acceptably” covered up lies on the girl. It’s a dangerous road to go down. Should girls and women wear cardboard boxes everywhere so that their figures are obscured for the sake of people who might feel “uncomfortable” by a human body?
There are women in the world who are required to cover themselves from head to toe, but that still doesn’t stop women from being sexually assaulted, or their mere presence being deemed a “distraction” for men. Perhaps the “uncomfortable” person should do some soul searching as to why he or she is looking so hard at a teen girl’s chest and why natural breasts are so offensive to them.

Grandfather says he's very sorry after accidentally picking up wrong child from school

A 65-year-old grandfather's case of mistaken identity at an elementary school has led to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office to investigate the incident. According to an incident report, the grandfather, identified as Joseph Fuller, went to Edisto Primary School in South Carolina to pick up his grandson early from school on May 19. When the grandfather arrived, the report said, he noticed a group of students leaving the gymnasium and he spotted a young man who he thought was his grandson.
The report said the grandfather approached the boy, gave him a hug, and said he was there to pick him up early. He asked the boy, who he thought was his grandson, if he was ready to go and the little boy said "yes." A teacher's assistant told deputies that she asked the student, "Was this your granddad?" and the student said "yes." At that point, the report said, the student and the man went to the front office so the boy could be signed out. According to the school, the grandfather was on the approved list of people who can pick up students. The report goes on to say the grandfather put the child in his car and his wife, without turning around in the car, handed the boy a Happy Meal.
When the couple returned home, the report said, the grandmother noticed that the boy was not their grandson. The grandparents then returned the child to the school where administrators notified the child's mother. "He had a tooth missing in the front, and I know my grandson did not have a tooth missing in the front," Fuller said. "Immediately, I brought him back to school, and I am very sorry." 'The mother was concerned, but relieved that the situation was handled and corrected,' the report said. 'She admitted that the [grandfather] resembles her father and saw how her son also mistakenly thought he was indeed his grandfather.'
'The students had similarities in haircut style and features, but not in weight or height.' The boy's father, Darrin Pressley, blames the school for what happened. "If they didn't bring him back my son could've been gone," Pressley said. "It's gross negligence on the school's part. My thing is, you know, have a prevention so this could never happen again." Based on this incident, the district has revamped how a student is checked out of school. Now, students have to verbally identify the person who is picking them up and then the front desk will double check the student's pick up list for that name. Over the summer, new entrances will be installed so parents can only gain access to the school through the front office.

Six-year-old boy reported his dad to the police after he drove through a red light

When 6-year-old Robbie Richardson from from Quincy, Massachusetts, saw his dad drive through a red light on their way home on Saturday, the little boy who dreams of being a police officer warned him that he was going to report the move to police.
And though his father, Michael Richardson, says he tried to explain to Robbie that the turn he made was a legal right on red, Robbie kept his word and called 911 as soon as they got home. “My dad went past the red light and I told him that I was going to call the police,” Robbie said.
“Red means stop, green means go, yellow means slow.” Robbie says he learned the important traffic light rules in kindergarten and knew to call 911 because it’s written on the side of his toy police car. Richardson said he had just fired up the grill when his son came out of the house and handed him the phone.

A voice on the line announced that he was speaking with the Quincy Police Department. Mike quickly realized what the call was about. “Oh no, I apologize,” he said with a laugh, before telling the dispatcher there was no emergency. Robbie’s mother, Joleen, said she is proud of her son. Robbie says he wants to be a police officer when he grows up because he wants to “stop robbers.” When asked if he also wanted to keep people from running red lights, he added: “Yeah!”

Woman says neighbor sold her frozen mother for $30

A woman from Goldsboro, North Carolina, was shocked when she looked into a used freezer she bought and found parts of a dead body inside. “My heart was in my throat and I ran outside, called 911,” said the woman, who asked that she not be identified. The woman had kept the deep freezer for the three weeks before opening it and making the gruesome discovery. She said she bought the freezer from her neighbor, but that she didn’t immediately open it because that neighbor told her it was being used as a “time capsule.”
The seller of the freezer said it was part of a class project she was doing with her cult Sunday School class. “A cult was supposed to come, pick up the items inside the freezer. I was supposed to get the freezer back. The cult never came. I decided to open it,” the freezer buyer said. The buyer called 911 after seeing the contents of the freezer. “I have a serious problem. My neighbor sold me a deep freezer. I just opened it and there’s a body in there I think,” she told the 911 dispatcher. “I am freaking out.” Police confirmed the human remains were found on Friday.
The woman who discovered it said she believes it was the body of the neighbor’s elderly mother inside the freezer. “She sold me her frozen mother for $30. How do you do something like that??” the woman said. The mother had lived with her daughter for years, but hadn’t been seen since September. “(She was) Just the sweetest lady. I mean quiet, kept to herself, stayed at home. Just unbelievable how she could just stick her mom in a freezer,” the freezer buyer said. The woman said that the day after she bought the freezer, the neighbor who sold it to her then left town.

The freezer seller said she was headed to West Virginia to be with her mother, who was now staying at a nursing home, the woman who bought the freezer said. It’s just one of many stories she told people in this tight-knit community, residents said. Stories that many people say just don’t add up. On June 1, remains were positively identified by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office. The woman’s death was determined to be natural and with no signs of foul play. Authorities are not releasing the identity until the next of kin has been notified. Goldsboro police are investigating the incident as felony concealing or failing to notify the death of a person.
