NOAA's gallery of coral photography

Thanks to the folks over at Boing Boing for bringing this to our attention, this pictures are great!

NOAA has an amazingly awesome gallery of photos from their work studying coral reef ecosystems.
Coral reefs are extremely imperiled all over the world due to climate change, overfishing and pollution, not to mention humans physically 'taking mementos from them' and literally tearing them apart that way.
Carolina Naturally readers might want to see these photos before many of the reefs depicted are gone.
If you ever get the chance to see a reef live and up close and personal - do so ... just be careful and look only - they are beautiful sights but extremely fragile when humans get involved with them.
Check out the photos at Welcome to "The Coral Kingdom."
