A deputy is back on duty now but earlier this month he spent three days in "time-out."
According to the Sheriff, he suspended the deputy for hitting a suspect while arresting him.
Chesterfield County Sheriff Sam Parker told the Morning News of Florence the incident happened in early June.
The report says the deputy arrested the man for disorderly conduct, being underage in possession of alcohol and resisting arrest. While he was booking the suspect, the deputy says the suspect made a sexual comment about his daughter.
Sheriff Parker says that's when the deputy hit him, breaking the suspect's nose.
The incident was caught on tape and Parker says it shows that the suspect and the deputy were out of control.
Sheriff Parker would not release the name of the deputy or suspect.
