The Pink River Dolphin

The pink dolphin of South America is an interesting creature–it lacks the dorsal fin of its more familiar bottle-nosed cousin, and has unfused neck vertebrae, allowing it to make a quick 180º turn from predators. You can see their pink coloring is mottled, with each dolphin sporting its own pattern of pink and grey.
Check out more pics and lots of info about the Amazon River Dolphin on the Ark in Space.
