Intruders held man at plastic gun and saw-point

Police admit this is a very bizarre home invasion: a man held up by a saw and a plastic gun early on Monday morning. It was 4:30 a.m. when Ruiz Rosando of Des Moines flagged police down. He told them just about an hour earlier, at 3:30 am, four suspects broke into his home in an apartment building.
"How did they single out this apartment? We don't know, that is something that we will look into," said Des Moines Police Sgt. Chris Scott. Rosando told police that a woman knocked on the door, he opened it, the female ran away and three Hispanic males rushed in.

They began to punch and kick Rosando and wave a plastic gun in his face. Two of the suspects then tied him up in the bathroom with his own belt and power cords, while one held a saw to his throat.

Within a half hour, Rosando was able to break free. He was left with a few bruises and scrapes. He says he's also out more than $4,700 in valuables. "They helped themselves to some small things in the house," said Scott. "Some rings, cell phones, some small things." Police have not located any suspects.
