Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) is an ambitious eco project in Milan,
Italy, designed by architect Stefano Boeri. The project is comprised of
two towers with giant cantilevered staggered balconies that permit
fairly big trees to be accommodate, since there is a minimum of two
storeys over every balcony. Basically, it's a vertical forest in the
heart of a blooming metropolis.
The
Forest Towers
have a height of 364 feet (111 meters) and 256 feet (78 meters) and
will host more than 900 trees on terraces. The structure was completed
in the first quarter of 2012 and the project is currently proceeding
with the construction of facades and facilities.
