In their previous lives, these hotels were banks, brothels, and more.
Like the Liberty Hotel in Boston (photo above). Opened in 1851, the
building was originally the Charles Street Jail, home to several famous
inmates, including Malcolm X and Sacco and Vanzetti. The jail officially
closed in 1990 and was reopened in 2007 as the trendy Liberty Hotel.
