Hapless bank robber dropped stolen cash before filling upturned umbrella then slipping on ice
A man accused of robbing a bank in Laurel, Maryland, on Wednesday with
no bag to put the swag in dropped the stolen cash before stuffing it
into an open umbrella.
Firstly he dropped the more than $20,000 (£12,000) on the floor of the bank.
He then took up valuable time collecting the cash into the upturned umbrella. After eventually making his getaway, he slipped on ice and cut his head open.
Still he managed to make it to the getaway car - but all the delays
caught up with him as police managed to stop the vehicle and make the
arrest. 42-year-old Robert C Williams was charged with robbery.
