Man arrested for attacking two teenagers he claimed knocked over his snowman

A man from Clinton, Colorado was arrested on Thursday for attacking two teenagers he claimed knocked over a snowman in his yard. James Knudsen, 22, had built the snowman at his home at a trailer park. Knudsen told police the juveniles had also apparently knocked down another snowman he had built earlier that day.
Police said Knudsen barged his way into his neighbor's home and grabbed a pool stick on his way to confront two juveniles. "I got into an altercation with a friend. I walked over to his house and punched him to solve it," Knudsen said.  Knudsen swung the stick above his head, but eventually dropped it, police said.

However, that's when they said he punched the 16-year-old and 17-year-old in their faces. The teenagers sustained minor abrasions and lacerations, but did not require further medical attention. Both minors denied any wrongdoing to police and said the snowman must have melted.
"It wasn't just that," Knudsen said when asked about why he assaulted two teenagers over a snowman. Knudsen was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct as well as two counts of third-degree assault. Knudsen was arraigned in Middletown Superior Court on Friday. "I chose the wrong action and I am suffering for it now," Knudsen said outside of court.
