The annual Sonoma-Marin Fair Ugliest Dog Contest is over, and
the winner is Peanut! Although he is world famous as of today,
Peanut’s story
is a sad one. He was abused and ultimately set on fire by his previous
owners. As a result, he is missing his eyelids and lips, and will never
again have hair all over. His new owner Holly Chandler wanted to enter
him in the ugliest dog contest to raise awareness of animal abuse.
A fundraiser exceeded its goal to send them to California for the competition. You can see the runner-ups and the online voting results in
