The 39-year-old victim was attacked after asking for a cigarette from
someone in a group of people at around 7:40pm on Wednesday, San Diego
police Officer Robert Heims said.
The suspect walked up to the victim and told him to get away from her things just prior to stabbing him in the left side of his neck, Heims said. She ran off before police arrived.
Heims said the victim was taken to a hospital and was treated for non- life-threatening injuries. The suspect had been described as a roughly 400-pound white woman “with a beard,” wearing a white shirt and jeans. She was arrested late on Thursday night.
