Woman accused of assaulting partner with a toilet roll

A woman from Cockenzie in East Lothian, Scotland, has appeared in court accused of assaulting her partner with a toilet roll. Karen Cosgrove, 38, is said to have attacked Stephen McKinnon with the roll of paper during an incident at her home address last month.
Cosgrove is also alleged to have shouted out that Mr McKinnon was hitting her when in fact he was not.
It is alleged Cosgrove was being watched by neighbors when she made the false attack comments. Cosgrove denies the charges and will return to court on August 3.
