Snow
leopards are pretty rare. A snow leopard with a new cub or two is good
news. The World Wildlife fund says this camera trap footage from
Mongolia is the first time scientists have seen a snow leopard with four
cubs at once in the wild.
The
footage is from September, when the cubs were about three months old.
They would be half grown by now. Estimates of snow leopard population
put their numbers at anywhere between 4,000 and 10,000.
