Police arrested 52-year-old Richard Wilson Preston — a high-ranking member of the Ku Klux Klan — for discharging a weapon within 1,000 feet of a school. He was apprehended last Sunday in Towson, MD.
Daniel Patrick Borden, 18, is in custody in Cincinnati, OH on charges of malicious wounding, most likely in conjunction with the attack on 20-year-old Deandre Harris. Harris, a black man, was viciously attacked by a group of white men brandishing metal rods. The attack was caught on video, although white supremacists and neo-Nazis have continued to target Harris with abuse and harassment.
A second man, 33-year-old Alex Michael Ramos — most recently a resident of Mariette, GA — is wanted in conjunction with the same attack. He is still at large.
In a statement, the Charlottesville Police announced that the toll of injured persons in the car attack on a crowd of anti-racist counter-demonstrators has been raised to 35.
