A New Jersey police officer was suspended from his position due
to allegations made by his ex-wife of the officer's alleged abuse of
their son.
The attorney for Harding police officer David Achenbach, however, says the ex-wife's allegations are "completely frivolous" and expects the case will be thrown out later this month.
Achenbach's ex-wife, who resides in Pennsylvania, filed two protection from abuse orders in Northampton County Court in Easton, Pa. last month alleging incidents of abuse in Berkeley Heights, N.J. and a threat against her children at the Northampton courthouse. Achenbach hasn't been charged criminally in connection with these allegations.
