After garnering eight NAACP Image Award nominations and a Grammy nomination for best song, Marshall,
an independent film you may have missed earlier this year, is back in
theaters this week. It tells the story of a little-known 1941 court case
involving a black chauffeur, Joseph Spell (played by Sterling K.
Brown), who is accused of raping his white wealthy employer, Eleanor
Strubing (Kate Hudson). The NAACP assigns a young Thurgood Marshall
(Chadwick Boseman) to take the case.
