After ten years mapping the ocean's biodiversity in the most comprehensive marine life censuses ever undertaken, researchers have arrived at a humbling conclusion: they definitely didn't count them all -- not by a long-shot. Of the 250,000 marine species counted, researchers estimated that some 750,000 remain undiscovered. But if they're in hiding, it's hard to blame them.
