Man upset and angry about unfinished tattoo died after jumping out of moving truck

An man from Ocala, Florida, was killed after he became angry and jumped out of a moving pick-up truck during a trip to Volusia County with coworkers just before midnight on Saturday, according to deputies. The body of Bryan Robinson, 34, was found early on Sunday on the side of the road in Pierson after an extensive search of the area, deputies said. Three men, who work together in Marion County, drove to Volusia County to go fishing and to get a group tattoo. According to the other two men, while their tattoos were finished, Robinson’s tattoo was taking longer because of the intricate design that he had picked out. Not wanting to wait the additional three hours, the other two told Robinson that they were leaving and that he could go with them or stay behind to get his tattoo finished, authorities said.
Robinson was upset as he left with his friends, and became increasingly angry during the drive back to Marion County. At some point while passing through Pierson, Robinson opened the door of the truck and jumped out, authorities said. “I would have never thought he'd done something like that. That's mind blowing. Never thought he'd do something like that,” said neighbor Laura Politte. The driver, who estimated that he was decelerating from about 40 mph at the time, pulled over and the two began searching for Robinson.
After about a half-hour of unsuccessful searching, they called the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Patrol deputies and a sheriff’s office helicopter launched a search for the man, but were unable to find Robinson until Sunday morning. That’s when a Sheriff’s Office helicopter crew doing a flyover found Robinson’s body. Deputies said there is no evidence that contradicts the story Robinson's friends gave them. The investigation is ongoing.
